I recently went on Celebrity Constellation, which has been Solsticised, with some improvements, and I feel, some areas that I preferred before it was updated. For example, my favourite bar has been replaced by Bistro on Five. I really like Bistro starwood hotels resorts on Five but missed the old Champagne Bar.
We love the 'clam shells' on Ventura/Azura's prom deck level and no doubt all of the Princess 'Grand class' ships too. These wrap around decks are wonderful for experiencing a 'Captain's eye' front view of the ocean, whilst being under cover from the elements. We have seen flying fish and dolphin riding the bow wave from this great vantage point. starwood hotels resorts We love being in touch with the ocean! Yay!
Royal Caribbean Ice Shows (Voyager and independence class) and Aqua Shows (Oasis/Allure) are some of the best afloat. Their 'Royal promenade' (a street down the middle of the ship with restaurants, bars and shops) is one of the most interesting public spaces at sea, along with 'Central Park'.
I suppose this is a bit boring, but a proper promenade deck always appeals to us - even more so if it's a wraparound one. We love a gentle walk, especially after dinner and late at night, and it somehow wouldn't feel like a proper ship without starwood hotels resorts a prom!!
