Well, there is Anaheim, which will have hosted two shows.  Comic-Con International has filed to claim Anaheim Comic-Con as a trademark .  (They have also filed for Los Angeles Comic-Con and San Francisco Comic-Con .)  There is a lot of space to expand, both in the Arena which can host Hall H media events, as well as a large ballroom on the Third Floor.

Maybe one reason why there isn t more spaces that could host a con here in NoCal is because our economy and culture isn t based on large-scale gatherings. It seems that the future of cons in NoCal are in smaller, more intimate one or two day events. I had a blast in Stockton last month and there s a quarterly Anime-Manga con in Sacramento that s very enjoyable. And BigWow was very good. Even with Wondercon lost to the south, there s still good stuff happening here in the northlands.
I had no trouble getting food near the Anaheim convention center. There were plenty of convenience fort lauderdale car rentals long term stores to get breakfast bars for the con floor, and many restaurants. (Avoid IHOP, I suffered from the breakfast.)
