Do you have any tips for where to get a rental car? should I rent it for the whole week if I don t need it every day? Can I drop it off in the keys some place and go get it or another later if i want to? Are there any discounts better than AAA? car rental discounts florida .
Steve in NC:It is normally cheaper to return it to the same place you rent it from. It is also usually cheaper to rent for the entire time rather than piece meal. I would suggest looking travel nurse solutions at Hotwire.com for some really good rates.

Make sure that your vehicle at home has full coverage before you leave, if it doesn t put in on for the time you are gone, then cancel full coverage when you get back. opt out of the rental car insurance as you Will be covered by your personal policy on you car Also make sure you take the bring it back full option, even if their price on gas is attractive, travel nurse solutions they will charge you for an entire tank even if you bring it back with 1/4 tank in it. Rent a car at the airport (make your arrangements through hotwire or some discount place) Drive to Fort Myers Beach (couple of hours) stay the night and early in the AM board the KeyWest Express boat it s about a 4 hour boat ride it s a nice boat, movie on board reasonable snack bar and bar. When you get to Key west you can get the trolly or take the Conch Tour and see about all you want to the boat boards back at 5:30 OR bring your luggage (making reservations for a hotel in advance) and stay a couple of days and come back on a later boat. All the Keys folks use the service and it s great.
