Performances of Great Wall Story are in the Ricketson Theater at the Denver Center for Performing Ar

THE STAGE DOOR:  The stage door was traditionally the spot for all reporters to loiter, hoping for a scoop on the show or its stars.   It is our pleasure to feature a production of our choice each month at our Stage Door, highlighting the special merits of a chosen performance.  This month's winner is Great Wall Story .   Based on a true event, london to paris tours a la War of the Worlds, this play is sure to entertain!
On a slow news day in 1899, three Denver london to paris tours reporters decide to dream up a hoax. Their story: london to paris tours the Great Wall of China is being torn down to open up trade with the West. The reporters go so far as to check fictitious engineers into a local hotel, who purportedly were off to the Far East to secure a contract london to paris tours for the job. The hoax sells newspapers london to paris tours in Denver but threatens to get out of hand when it spreads to Chicago and New York City, where Joseph Pulitzer of the New York World decides to investigate. He sends his copy assistant Harriet Sparrow,  originally of Denver, to investigate this sensational story.  As the ensuing repercussions unfold, one of the reporters must face losing the trust of his son if the truth comes out. This snappy, stylish period piece based on actual events is truly a home-town story!
