The Philadelphia Film Festival has announced its full line-up in a press release, with the locally shot Silver Linings Playbook, from David O. Russell, fresh off its Toronto Audience Award, set to open the Festival on Thursday, October 18, and the Festival planned to close with Robert Zemeckis Flight on October 27.
Other films scheduled to show at the Fest include Tom Twyker, Lana and Andy Wachowski s sci-fi drama Cloud Atlas, Roger Mitchell s Hyde Park on Hudson, David Chase s Not Fade Away, Dustin Hoffman s directorial debut Quartet, and Fisher Steven s Stand Up Guys.
I can t imagine a better Opening Night film for our Festival than Silver Linings Playbook, and I m thrilled to have legendary director Robert Zemeckis bringing his latest film Flight to Philadelphia for our Closing Night, said Andrew Greenblatt, the Festival s Executive Director.
