Many of our Willamette Valley bike trips start out on the Banks Vernonia State Trail. Until recently, there was a short section of dirt at mile 8. This meant just enjoying the paved (10-mile) portion or adding a little cyclocross the your trip! The good news is that the park authorities have recently completed the pavement for all sections of the trail making it one of the best bike paths in the country and the perfect way to start off your Oregon Bike Tour with us; enjoying 20 miles of car-free cycling that meanders through the forests.
