They are protesting that they are not being paid their wages and are being mistreated. The crew includes Bulgarians, Romanians, and Greeks - in addition to other nationalities - who are awaiting to be paid for their last 2 months of work and claim that they are facing difficult circumstances.
The crew members complain that they have requested to be paid and repatriated because the hiring and/or management company, identified as ALAS International Holdings, Inc. a/k/a PV Enterprises International, Inc. (Mr. Peter Villiotis, Chairman and CEO), are allegedly not paying the seafarers' wages.
The crew claim that an agreement was signed in front of the port captain in Mazatlan which stated that the Mexican owner of the cruise ship agreed to be responsible for the crew and to pay the crew's salaries.
