With six bedrooms, six bathrooms and 6,200 square feet, the house at 2500 Timber Oak Trail might not have an owner, but it has most anything else a buyer would want: a theater myrtle beach hotels room, wine cellar, game room and a bonus room above the garage.
It also has a slowly growing number of neighbors in the local million-dollar market. A search of listings with the Realtors Association of the Sioux Empire Inc. showed 15 houses for sale at or near $1 million. That doesn�t count houses under construction or those being sold privately.
Minnehaha County reported two Sioux Falls home sales in excess of $1 million last year but none yet this year. Year-to-date data in Lincoln County only was available through April and showed one closed sale in the city limits of more than $1 million. In 2011, there were five such sales, up from just two in 2010.

�I just think there seems like a lot more people out there looking for it,� he said. �That�s why I�m putting up a spec. It seems like a lot of these people don�t necessarily want a custom home. They just want a walk in, turn key and be done with it.� The million-dollar buyer

Wiseman is finishing a house at 8209 S. Quiet Oak Trail for more than $1 million that was custom-built for a family of six moving to Sioux Falls for a job in the health care industry. It was designed to resemble houses the family liked in their previous Arkansas neighborhood.
�And they�re right on the boulevard,� Jamison said. �I think a lot of people like the feeling of those homes, but they want today�s amenities. They want a really nice kitchen, and it has to have certain updates to all come together.�
myrtle beach hotels In Sioux Falls, a million-dollar homebuyer �gets a lot for the money,� said Elliot Eisenberg, a senior economist for the National Association of Home Builders, who visited the city earlier this year.
�It�s $1 million because it�s got a lot of land, it�s got a beautiful view,� Eisbenberg said. �Physically, it�s a lot of sticks myrtle beach hotels and bricks, unlike in high-cost areas where you get land and that�s it.�
�Don�t compare your market to New York City, where everything costs a million dollars,� Eisenberg said. �Luckily, you�re not a high-priced market. There�s plentiful land and it�s a relatively myrtle beach hotels low regulatory environment, so builders are able to build.�
�The only difference would be the land cost because Sioux Falls still has pretty reasonable costs,� he said. �I think a million-dollar house in Omaha is about the same as Sioux Falls. Minneapolis might be a little higher.�

Time on the market is �all over the place,� she said, adding that houses built in the 1980s and 1990s might struggle because of floor plans, and houses in more secluded areas of the city might be hard to sell for professionals needing easy access to work.
�But it takes at least three times longer than in the average bracket,� he said. �If they want to sell, they adjust (price) accordingly. If they want to hold off for that one buyer who loves it, it will take so much longer.�
�The person in an existing market would have to discount at least 10 percent and maybe 15 to 20 percent in order to entice a buyer,� Ratchford said. �The caveat myrtle beach hotels is that it takes a year to build a million-dollar house, and if someone needed something right now, you can buy in the existing market.
