Fifteen of Ireland’s key cultural and heritage organisations across the country took part in Fáilte




Fifteen of Ireland's key cultural and heritage organisations across the country took part in Fáilte Ireland's Cultural Insights Initiative in 2011, with more activity to come in 2012 as the next phase of the initiative is rolled out.
Strokestown House in Co. Roscommon is discussing the possibility of holding an exhibition in the Immigrant Museum on Ellis Island New York. Cork Festivals' Forum has established a relationship with Festivals Edinburgh which led to a recent visit by Festivals Edinburgh's Head of Marketing to present to cultural and tourism businesses in Cork on how they can learn from Edinburgh's example in using Festivals as a driver to raise the profile of Cork as a tourism destination.
"Ireland is known around the globe for the depth of its history and the quality of its cultural output. Our culture nags head nc vacation rentals is our cutting edge and will contribute significantly to the rebuilding of this country's reputation abroad.
"We have an opportunity to capitalise on our culture and heritage in order to bring more visitors and more business to Ireland. By continuing to work closely with key cultural organisations, equipping them with the necessary tourism skills and supporting them in maximising their own international appeal, we can drive more inward travel to Ireland"
