When I arrived at the Budget Rental Desk, I presented the Atlas Choice voucher and after some discussion agreed bid on airline tickets to pay for additional insurance totalling "about 25" to cover travel across the border from Northern bid on airline tickets Ireland into Eire.
I have had a response from Budget Northern Ireland confirming that it will not investigate further from its end given the ruling by the British Vehicle Renting and Leasing Association bid on airline tickets (BVRLA), which was in the company's favour.
The first is to contact your credit card provider, Tesco, and see if you can claims the money back under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act - under which it is jointly and severally liable (with the retailer/service provider) for the quality and delivery bid on airline tickets of goods and services purchased using the card.
Otherwise, I am afraid you will have to accept your losses and take this as a cautionary tale to read and re-read all car rental agreements - especially bid on airline tickets the clauses bid on airline tickets relating to insurance and excesses - before signing them.

I do urge the FSA to ask the following bid on airline tickets questions , Have you seen the Conditions on agreements all of the reverse page. When opening acounts or hiring , getting insurance this is far too much to absorb not just in this case but Banks aswell. I suggest forms are simplified but they wont do this as the devil is in the small print as we have all found out. Budget and all other agreements always have the answers in such cases. What if im dixlexic , find things hard to understand ??? As we all know Banks went through this Unenforcable agreements pre 2006 so it works both ways, the devil is in small print which almost always favours those who print them. Who is right or wrong is not for me to say, however, IMPORTANT smallprint should be readable at a glance as its legally binding. It seems in this case the customer has nowhere to go as your ruling has garanteed them a win. Another Dept not fit for purpose.
It's not just car hire no matter who you complain to they refut the case and pass you onto the next person along, they too refuse your complaint bid on airline tickets and this goes on everywhere especially when complaining about local councils the system is so long and drawn out with only the local Gov ombudsman bid on airline tickets as the final place to go and they simply don't want to know it is the same everywhere! Why do half of these organisations exist when the majority never have any intention of handling your complaint. Recently I complaind to the GSCC general social care council (they administer social bid on airline tickets workers) they told me that the person involveds behaviour did not reach the threshold to which they start an investigation!!!!! There should not be ANY threshold as to social workers bad behaviour!!! all a fix to keep getting paid but do no real investigating...a threshold be damned!
Certainly one good thing will come out of this article, bid on airline tickets Some people who would have hired a car from Budget will now go elsewhere and hopefully look closer at the rental contract than they would have done otherwise. Perhaps your correspondent could sue Budget under the trade descriptions act, patently after all these non returnable deposits! no reasonable person could describe this company as BUDGET. Why not shop around for quotes from other car rental companies and make a comparison and if there is a large difference in your favour, contact one of those ambulance chasing lawyers and see whether they would take the case, I would expect it would be settled out of court.
