July is here, and we're waist-deep in some amazing events here in P-Town, however if you're waiting until August to take your vacation to Cape Cod, fear not, for there will be plenty to see and do! On August 5, 2012 you may see a lot of cyclists in town, as this is the second day of the annual Pan-Mass Challenge , a cycling fundraiser to benefit cancer research, treatment, and cure. The two-day Sturbridge-to-Provincetown ride begins on August 4, 2012 and culminates at both the Provincetown Inn and the Provincetown Family Finish. If you are interested in riding to raise money, be sure to register for the official event!
August 11, 2012 finds Leslie Jordan at the Crown Anchor! You've seen him all over TV, especially for his Emmy Award Winning role as Karen's arch enemy on Will Grace, and you may have even seen him in movies such as Sordid Lives and The Help. August 11, 2012 also brings the Provincetown Jazz Festival back to the Town Hall Auditorium at 8:00 pm. Now in it's eighth year, the Festival features jazz musicians from the U.S., and from around the world! August 12-17, 2012 is Carnival Week ! This year's theme, A Space Odyssey, brings parties, cruises, vendors, dance nights, an inn stroll, and more! Enjoy performances throughout the week by musician Sam Harris, and comedienne Kate Clinton. And don't miss the annual Carnival Parade down Commerical Street on Thursday, August 16, 2012!
August 25, 2012 offers The Taste of Provincetown sponsored by MassEquality at the Town Hall Auditorium. Starting at 6:00 pm, this event offers three hours of food, wine, and cocktails from 15 different area restaurants, with special guest Chef Tiffani Faison, who participated in the very first Top Chef on Bravo. Tickets start at $125.00 per person and are on sale now!
