Went on Carnival for our honeymoon los angeles southwest community college a few years ago. It was not too expensive, yet the food, entertainment, and general atmosphere were really good. The most relaxing and best for the money that I took was NYC to Bermuda 7 days on Royal Caribbean. It had 2 days at sea, 3 days in Bermuda and then 2 days returning. Other cruises will land on an island or port for a few hours to a day (8-10 hr) which makes it hectic trying to see things and shop etc. But the Bermuda cruise with 3 days on the island, was relaxing. We could site see and shop and tour at our leasure.
The cost a few years ago was around $1000 for an oceanview, I haven t priced it recently. But I would suggest to shop around There are differnt prices and different los angeles southwest community college lines and different cabins (interior is less but you still have all the features of the ship but no window.
