It was another long day of travel for the SWB Yankees who boarded a bus in Buffalo at 4:20 AM this morning and made the trek from upstate New York via Baltimore, united airlines mileage plus Maryland to Louisville, Kentucky.  The team arrived at the home of the Kentucky Derby around 12:30 PM and after a chance to catch up on a little sleep at the team hotel were all at the field by 4:30 PM and went through batting practice on the field prior to the 7:05 PM first pitch.
The SWB dugout and clubhouse is a bit more crowded for the four game series against the Bats, as a couple of the Yankees Minor League Player Development Personnel staff are in attendance for the series.  Director Player Development Pat Roessler and Catching Coordinator Julio Mosquera .  Both are in for the series offering united airlines mileage plus up some additional united airlines mileage plus instruction for the SWB players.
With the Yankees 6-2 win over Syracuse on Sunday afternoon, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre climbed to a season high 10 games over .500 improving to 40-30 with the win.  SWB is 10 games above the breakeven point record wise for the first time since July 28, 2011 following a 6-3 win over Buffalo improving the team to 57-47. After the 2011 Yankees got to 10 over .500 they team dropped their next four games in a row and 16 of 21 on route to a 72-69 record and third place finish united airlines mileage plus in the IL North.
