Based on his minor league numbers, Jackson is probably going to strike out in at least 25% of his plate appearances, and quite honestly 32 or 33% is a real possibility for Jackson. And while Jackson should be above average in center, before the injuries Sizemore was truly elite.
Quite honestly, Jackson s Ks could make him a really frustrating player to watch. One year the BABIP could be sky high (he reportedly makes very solid contact when he makes contact), and he could post something like a .280/.370/.490. But the next year, if the BABIP drops you could see .220/.290/.400. That s the problem with Ks. Since his number of balls in play will be lower (in other words, his sample harrahs cherokee casino hotel size of balls in play will be smaller), harrahs cherokee casino hotel his BABIP will likely be even more subject to wild swings than most players. I m going out on a limb and saying Jackson will never be a star and won t be the player that some people think he can be. Just to much negative in his game that will hold him back. I think he can be a decent player in the majors but I don t think he ll ever be an allstar. I see him as batting avg .265-.280 / .315-.330 OBP / .420-.440 Slugging. I think 20. My recollection is most publications had them right around 20, but BA had them higher at 14. Law would have Almora as the Cubs No. 1 prospect, at least immediately post-draft (I don t know if a couple more weeks of Baez playing at a high level have changed that).
I think Law did a mid-season prospect ranking a week or two ago. It would be nice if someone like BA had a more dynamic rating system where once a month they shifted the teams around based on promotions, performance, draft, etc
