August 23rd 2012 Tirupati, the abode of lord Venkateswara, is situated in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Tirupati is the second richest temple in the world and the most visited shrines in India. Pilgrims from all over the world flock to Tirupati every year. It is well-connected via rail, road and air with all the major cities in the country and especially those in South India.

There are bus services provided by the State Road Transport Corporation of Tamilnadu from Chennai to Tirupati. The travel time to Tirupati from Chennai by bus will be 4 to 5 hours approximately.
A lot of private taxis and cabs are also available from Chennai to Tirupati.
