After an action-packed week my husband and I were relieved to move into our condo in Breckenridge, C

July 2012 was one of the most pleasant summer months I ve spent since moving to North Carolina 20 years ago. Not that noticeable when I was working, the summer executive inn burnaby heat and humidity have grown more enervating as I age. Since retiring, I ve managed at least one trip each summer to some place cooler. Three years ago I fell in love with the Colorado Rocky Mountains executive inn burnaby as a summer destination and in 2012 was lucky enough to spend most of July in those mountains. Select photos appear below.
The trip started with a week of sight seeing. First stop was Colorado Springs to see the iconic Cadet Chapel at the US Air Force Academy. I was less than thrilled by the 60 s architecture executive inn burnaby of the chapel and campus but  enjoyed thoroughly the beauty of the red rocks at Garden of the Gods. Next stop, the southwestern town of Durango really impressed me I was ready to move! Durango has the outdoorsy vibe so common in Colorado plus a young and artsy feel that comes from a community executive inn burnaby where college students and retirees mix easily. A soaring adventure in a glider and a fabulously relaxing train ride on the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad completed the stay.
After an action-packed week my husband and I were relieved to move into our condo in Breckenridge, CO. The town was a perfect base for sightseeing when the kids came and offered easy access to more hiking trails than we could possibly cover in three weeks. We enjoyed Breck Family Fun Park, drove up to the top of Mt Evans on the highest paved road in North America, executive inn burnaby checked out the options in Vail-Beaver Creek, and got up close and personal with a moose and her calf on one of our hikes. The condo wasn t our favorite and we scouted out a different venue for next summer, but Colorado in the summertime will be on the itinerary as long as we are able to travel.
