I ve recently last minute air ticket seen both courtyard marriott and hilton pittsburgh last minute air ticket going for 55-65 through PRICELINE .com (name your price) so if that s the case, I d rather take my chances naming my price since I d save 40- 50 and the upside is that I might actually get the courtyard which is really last minute air ticket the hotel I want. When I m searching HOTWIRE deals and put in 2 adults, it presents a hotel which I believe I have narrowed down to the one I want. If I change to 2 adults and 2 children (my actual party), that hotel option disappears. Question being, if I book through Hotwire with the 2 adults and no mention of child, will they care when I show up with my 2 children? The hotel in question is the Pittsburgh Renaissance (Marriott)
In regards to your question above, HOTWIRE guarantees accommodations last minute air ticket for everyone you include in your search... so if you only book for double occupancy, there is a chance that you are assigned a room with only one bed, and the hotel may be unable, or unwilling, to switch you to a room with two beds (or there could be an additional fee)
I don t know the rates you re seeing thru HOTWIRE or direct, but you may want to also check to see if the hotel you want is offered on HOTWIRE when searching for 2 rooms, which can sometimes be cheaper than booking one direct.
