Draper's Rhett Rasmussen claimed medalist honors at last week's regional, qualifying for the 65th United States Junior Amateur Championship to be held at the Golf Club of New England at Stratham, New Hampshire July 16-21.
On Thursday, Rhett Rasmussen will begin the final round of the Junior World Golf Championships in San Diego. Immediately after that event, father and son will board a plane bound for Boston for the U.S. Junior Amateur tournament, then they'll fly back to Utah where Rhett will participate in the Utah Junior America's Cup team.
"You can't just drop your kid off at the club and hope that they get better," five star hotels bahamas said Kevin Rasmussen. "Getting better requires the parent to supervise a bit, but there's a fine line between too much pressure where they want to quit and no pressure where they don't improve."
There are no pressure problems for the Rasmussens, who regularly bet ice-cream treats on longest drive or best chip as father and son enjoy each other's company in the splendor of the game they love.
