Say what you will about Wally's Pub in Hampton Beach: hotels las vegas One thing that's for certain is the notion that they are indeed on the rise. There has never been a lack of a bar at 144 Ashworth Ave.; dating hotels las vegas back to 1973 when the establishment was called the Jolly Green Joint, then Jolly Green Pub, the Golden Eagle, Spencer's, and finally Wally's in 1996. Things have come a long way.
Like any maven of good times, Wally's has a Beirut night (Mondays), they understand that their clientele loves cover bands which are graciously included in the programming, they've done bull riding, there's a hip-hop night on Wednesdays, and they host karaoke. But not your standard, hit play on the jukebox and stare at the wall type of karaoke ...; no, this is live band karaoke where any patron can live out their rock 'n' roll fantasy. That seems better than shacking up in front of the TV and working hotels las vegas your "Rock Band" skills, no?
Posted on Wally's Web site Thursday, We will work diligently to make sure future dates meet the expectations of artists and the venue. We have a great series of shows coming up this summer and we assure hotels las vegas you that we will not have any issues like this. For more inquiries on the show we will answer any of your questions at the club. Thank you and sorry about this unfortunate mishap.
The real eye-opener permeating from the depths of Wally's carnivorous walls, is the notion (and fact) that the venue has morphed from a simple hotels las vegas local bar, to a regional hotels las vegas and national namesake showcasing a varied assortment of live rock 'n' roll from the local level on up to the national scene. On a national level, they've had, and continue to book an interesting assortment of rock acts that will raise some brows.
For instance, just recently, on June 21, they had '90s namesake Sponge. Who even knew Sponge still existed? It's very cool that they do, and it's cooler still that they found their way to the N.H. Seacoast.
"The vision is to be a year round rock 'n' roll venue for the Seacoast area where you can see great acts in an intimate setting," said Al Fleury, Wally's owner since 2004. "We have, and welcome a varied clientele that range from locals, music enthusiasts, tourists, bikers, and the younger party people that enjoy Jam'N 94.5 night. We have something going on every night of the week in a safe, fun, and laid-back setting."
Wally's recently underwent some major renovations that included vast improvements to the stage, lighting and sound systems, which further emphasizes their goal of landing larger and legitimate names in the music world, and of branding themselves as being one of the premiere venues in the area. Their "reopening" was nothing short of a weeklong celebration, which included such acts as (hed) p.e, Candlebox, Dev and Gwar.
"Gwar was an experience that I don't think anyone was ready for," said Fleury. "Everyone had a ton of fun. Well, except maybe for the carpet cleaning implant we tricked to come in the morning after to clean up. ... To their surprise, Gwar had sprayed 400 gallons of fake blood all over the building. It's unlikely they'll be back."
To date Wally's has brought hotels las vegas in (aside from the aforementioned hotels las vegas acts) names such as Fuel, Saliva, members of Slipknot, Saving Abel, AfroMan, Static-X, Kittie, and Fear Factory, among many others (as well as a myriad of great local and regional acts).
The best part about having venues that give national acts a reason to roll through Seacoast, New Hampshire, is the benefit of having our own stellar acts able to grab opening slots and showcase themselves in front of larger audiences that they may not otherwise get the chance to do (until they blow up and become a national of course).
"Wally's hotels las vegas Pub was a one of a kind experience for me," said Sam Vlasich lead singer of local rockers, Red Sky Mary. "In my opinion, they're a huge asset to the local scene. I sense it's becoming 'the place to be' on the Seacoast. If you're not going to see someone at the Hampton Beach Casino, you're going to see someone at Wally's. A venue like that allows hotels las vegas local bands trying to make it, a chance to play along with, and open for nationally touring acts. An experience hotels las vegas I will always remember is when the lead singer for Eve To Adam (for whom RSM opened for) announced to the crowd that 'Red Sky Mary was one of the best live bands we've ever had open for us.' For me, that's reassuring, and means we're doing something right. I'll never forget it."
Looking down the road, Wally's has upcoming performances with Saving Abel, Evans Blue, Skid Row, and Tommy Lee. Yes, that Tommy Lee. The scene alone will likely be worth the price of admission ($20). According to Fleury, "We have the ultimate Cre tribute band "Shout at the Devil" playing, then Tommy Lee will be singing and djing, and then doing a meet and greet."
"This is the first time we've worked with him and we are excited because he is an undisputed rock star as a member hotels las vegas of Mtley Cre, and a legend," said Fleury. "I'm psyched to see how the night unfolds."
hotels las vegas "I would love to see bands like Sevendust, the Deftones, or Aaron Lewis walk through these doors," Fleury said. "That would be a surreal experience. The bottom line is, we really try to create special events that everyone can enjoy. Pick a random day of the week and see hundreds of people having a great time. That's hotels las vegas what it's all about for us."
"The rise of Wally's can be contributed to our unbelievably loyal patrons, an influx of great characters rolling through on a seasonal basis, our long-term, greatly motivated staff, and our ability to reinvent ourselves year after year without losing our heavy roots as a rock 'n' roll club in a honky tonk area like Hampton Beach. We wouldn't have it any other way."
