At an event in New York last week, Norwegian Cruise Lines released details on the innovative entertainment line up passengers can expect on Norwegian Breakaway when she launches in the Big Apple in May 2013.
"As a lifelong New Yorker, it's critically important to me that Norwegian Breakaway becomes New York's ship – the only way to cruise from New York when she arrives next May," Norwegian Cruises Lines CEO Kevin Sheehan said.
"Our goal is to bring elements of New York onboard so that guests will feel a real connection to the ship as New York's true flagship we are truly bringing Broadway to the high seas and delivering the high calibre entertainment that New Yorkers have come to expect."

With performances of the Cha Cha, Salsa, Samba, Mambo, Tango, Paso Doble and more, "Burn the Floor" is currently in the midst of its world tour with dates in countries including South Africa, Australia, Singapore and Japan before returning to the U.S. and joining Norwegian Breakaway in 2013.
Producer and director Neil Goldberg will present an adaptation of the Broadway show on Norwegian Breakaway that features the best of "Cirque Dreams Dinner" currently showing aboard Norwegian Epic and "Cirque Dreams Jungle casino hotel halifax Fantasy".
Performing in the intimate Spiegel Tent, the show will feature an international cast of 'Cirque Dreamers' who will perform acrobatics and bring to life a 'Ballet of Butterflies', 'Flipping Monkeys' and 'Fanciful Birds'.
