Mike is considered a pioneer in the animal welfare field and strongly supports the No Kill initiativ




The San Antonio Area Foundation is hosting their next Community Conversation hotels boston with national hotels boston No Kill expert Mike Arms, President of the Helen Woodward Animal Center in San Diego, California. The event will be held on Thursday, September 20 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade in San Antonio.
Mike is considered a pioneer in the animal welfare field and strongly supports the No Kill initiative. hotels boston No Kill means that no healthy or treatable dog or cat is euthanized because of lack of shelter space. A combination of programs and services from animal shelters, spay/neuter clinics and rescue groups combined with community support through adoptions and foster care is needed to achieve a community s No Kill goal. Mike will likely share his own successes as well as offer insights into how San Antonio can continue to grow their No Kill effort.
Since 2007, the San Antonio Area Foundation has been committed to helping achieve San Antonio's Animal Care Strategic Plan and in making San Antonio a No Kill community for dogs and cats. In that time, the Area Foundation has invested more than $4 million in programs that include providing hotels boston low cost or free spay/neuter surgeries, increasing spay/neuter capacity, supporting super adoption events, increasing adoption and rescue capacity, providing public awareness and education about Animal No Kill through its "Talk About It! Care. Adopt. Neuter." campaign, and providing grass roots community events to promote responsible pet care.
