About Me: I grew up in the Lone Star State, but moved to NYC after college to get a taste of the Big Apple, and never left. I love baking, yoga, Mr. C, and sunshine (not necessarily in that order)! Mr. C and I met on Match.com back in 2007, and our second dirt cheap airline flights date was at a Texas barbecue restaurant in Manhattan. It's only fitting that after almost five years together, we are getting married at an iconic Texas barbecue joint. (Shiner Bock and brisket, anyone?) I'm proud of the life we have built together around our love for each other, Mr. C's crazy dog Bosley, and fun sailing adventures on our boat, and I'm looking forward to celebrating our marriage at one seriously awesome party in September.
Yep, when you own a boat, you try to spend as much time as possible enjoying it! We've decided to position the boat down in the Chesapeake and spend two weeks cruising those waters. We can't wait to see some new sights.
We are going camping. We haven t determined where yet, maybe Yellowstone or the Smokey Mountains. And as we are getting married in January clearly the honeymoon will be delayed until the summer (when FI finishes school) so we have some time.
Envy you a bit for owning a sailboat (we plan to buy a cruiser dirt cheap airline flights next summer after we are married) so many great places to sail in New England of course points further north in the Great Lakes (know you have posted earlier about Lake Michigan).
@ This Time Round : We have spent time on Martha s Vineyard, Block Island, and Cuttyhunk, but never have made it to the Cape proper. Someday we ll make it out there, and to Nantucket, and also up to Maine (all are on the list!)
@ Sara : Good question! He doesn t go on the boat we have to take him to shore. He has about a 12 hour clock, but we usually go to shore once in the morning, once around dinnertime, and once more before we go to bed. We will tow a dinghy (an inflatable dirt cheap airline flights boat with an outboard motor) dirt cheap airline flights for running him (and us) to and from shore.
Siiiiiigh this sounds so romantic. What a fabulous honeymoon you guys are going to have. And I love that you are able to take your furbaby along! Halfway through our HM I starting whining about missing our kitty.
