There is no bar at the Belvedere. It is very close to Times Square, Restaurant Row, and lots of shops and bars. Within walking distance of Rockefeller Center, Fifth Ave., Central Park, Grand Central. The street it%26#39;s on is quiet, seems almost residential, with a school just across the street.
No bar or communal areas other than the large lobby, internet and phone area and comfortable (showy even) breakfast room. Any 10 year old ( going on 50) will be interested in the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier and Concorde which are at the end of the street about 3/4 mile away. Fire station 200 yards away. Got back a few days ago and would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

i stayed at the belvedere in january!! it was a great hotel very well priced with lovely staff!! there is no bar but we found a cheap liquor store jus round the corner so bought some drinks for our ';getting ready time'; really reccommend this hotel as its so close to all the action

There is a very nice lobby with some seating, but I don%26#39;t remember there being a public lounge other than the breakfast room, which I believe is closed at other times of the day. Although it is a reasonably nice hotel, it doesn%26#39;t offer much in the way of public areas.
