Police say a man wearing a black coat, black ski mask, black gloves and black or blue pants entered the hotel lobby around 6:50 p.m. Sunday, pointed a gun at the hotel clerk and demanded money, police said.
Police said they were able to connect the armed robbery in Troy with other recent robberies in Metro Detroit and pinpointed a suspect. On Monday, Southfield police were involved christmas on a tropical ocean cruise in a car chase with the suspect who was driving a stolen vehicle. The suspect crashed in Detroit and fled on foot when a Southfield officer shot him in the buttocks.
