The San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Ethicon LLC manufacturing facility hosts over 1,000 associates dedicated to produce world-class medical devices to safely and effectively meet the needs of patients from all continents. Ethicon LLC, develops and markets products within three divisions: Ethicon Products for precise wound closure and tissue repair, Ethicon Women's Health & Urology for minimally invasive women's health procedures, and Johnson & Johnson comfort inn hotel Wound Management for homeostasis comfort inn hotel and advanced wound care. The selected candidate will, under direction of the Process Engineer, assist comfort inn hotel in the installation, debugging, troubleshooting, qualification, and training of new equipment. Give supports comfort inn hotel to Maintenance Engineers and provide solutions to recurrent maintenance and operational problems. Assist Process Engineer in the installation, qualification and validation of equipment. Assist in the start up of new manufacturing equipment. Serve as trainer for new and/or modified equipment. Optimize manufacturing systems as required (e.g., modifications of programmable comfort inn hotel logic controller, development of new techniques). Assemble and install comfort inn hotel electrical and compressed air lines for new production equipment in accordance with layout requirements. Work in electrical troubleshooting as required. Perform development work for new fixtures, dies and/or other equipment. Maintain in an organized and proper condition all tools. Participates as an active comfort inn hotel member of the Emergency Brigade. Must be willing to work all shifts of a three shift operation. Comply J&J Safety Requirements and ensure safe working conditions and practices in the department. Follow procedures comfort inn hotel for established process transfers and writes new ones for new processes complying with management of change comfort inn hotel policy. Perform other work related duties as assigned by supervisor/facilitator.
A minimum of an Associate Degree in Electronics or Electricity is required, Bachelors in Electronics is preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a related role are required. Experience in the Healthcare industry is preferred. Licensed Electrician is preferred. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers, PLC (such as Texas Instruments or Allen Bradley) is highly desirable. Strong comfort inn hotel computer skills and use of software application(s) is required, such as: DOS, Windows and DMACS. Availability to work in different shifts in any day of the week is required.
